The AI & IoT lab at CSIR-CMERI (Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute) is dedicated to advancing cutting-edge research and development in Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of Things, and cybersecurity. Our work spans multiple key domains, including: Computer Vision: We develop systems that enable machines to interpret and analyze visual information from the world, applying AI to automate tasks such as object detection, pattern recognition, and visual data analysis. Distributed Systems: We focus on building scalable and efficient systems for distributed computing environments, ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and optimized communication between interconnected devices. Network and Cybersecurity: Our team develops solutions to protect distributed networks and IoT infrastructure from cyber threats, focusing on securing data transmission, implementing advanced encryption protocols, and ensuring robust network defence mechanisms. IoT: Leveraging IoT technologies, we design and implement secure, intelligent systems for real-time monitoring and control of devices, facilitating innovative applications across various industries, including industrial automation, smart cities, and healthcare.
